Being prepared.

There are many places in God's Holy Word, that warn us to be prepared. One that stands out to me is:

1 Peter 3:15 (New International Version)

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

The correct translation from the Greek Original, is not "ask" but means "to demand".

We live in a culture saturated, with those who demand to know why we believe. Ridicule towards believers is common, often on a national scale, as witnessed in our media. More often than not, when you are given an opportunity to share your beliefs, it will be under hostile circumstances. Jesus lived this. Peter witnessed this and later learned this. We must learn it and live it, as well.

It's been correctly said that your greatest testimony, is how you live...every day.

In order to live a life that mimics Jesus Christ, we must first know Him.

Not know about Him, but get personal with Him, one on one, on His terms.

We must not only read His word, but absorb His word, until it becomes a part of who we are.

The beauty of following Jesus, is that every day is a new day, a new adventure, a new beginning.

Learn what you believe and why.

Be prepared.

God will give you the opportunity to share that belief, make the most of it... for the Kingdoms sake.
